JASON TOKITA along with his company INJOY, have made San Diego a House Music powerhouse with their quality execution showcasing the best in underground dance music.
For the better part of the decade Jason has dedicated himself to the electronic music idiom. Bred from the West Coast Rave culture in the early-mid 90's, Tokita knew early that House Music was his calling in life.
Jason's presence has been especially felt along the West Coast, making regular DJ appearances at some of the most recognizable spots for house music. The Last Supper Club, Trinity and Flammable at ReBar in Seattle, the infamous Ruby Skye, 2nd Sunday and End Up in San Francisco, as well as places like On Broadway, Ivy, Thin/Onyx, Spin and The Se Hotel in San Diego.
Jason's seamless DJ sets and amazing adaptation have garnered him recognition from even the most educated audiophiles. His music ranges from down-tempo lounge to peak hour funky house and everything in between.
In a span of four years, Jason Tokita has had the fortunate opportunity to play alongside many world class acts such as Deep Dish, Erick Morillo, Green Velvet, Markus Shultz, Mark Farina, Ben Watt, Donald Glaude, Barry Weaver, Derrick Carter, Doc Martin, Inland Knights, Swirl People, Littlemen, John Howard, Joey Youngman, Natural Rhythm, Dizzy, JT Donaldson, East Coast Boogiemen, Giom, Rick Preston, Chris Lum, Jay-J, Pete Moss, DJ Heather, Onionz, Gene Farris, Greenskeepers, Hipp-e, Halo, Marques Wyatt, Olivier Desmet, Jay West, Fred Everything, Jay Tripwire, Bryan Jones, The Sound Republic, Troydon, Diz, Roy Davis Jr, Justin Martin, Claude Von Stroke, Lawnchair Generals and the list continues...
Aside to his busy DJ schedule, Jason is also the co-founder Injoy Entertainment, a company that specializes in all aspects of event management and DJ services (www.injoyent.com). When Jason and his partner Chad Fortin aren't coordinating an event, you can find Mr. Tokita busy at work in the studio working hard on his own music. Jason was recently acquired by Moulton Media in San Francisco, formally known as Moulton Studios, one of the nation's most sought after recording studios for underground electronic dance music. Under the instruction of Grammy nominated producer/remixer and DJ, Chris Lum, along with a few other outstanding recording artists, Tokita has created quite a catalog of dynamite material due to release later this year.
